Rose’s Bakery: The Perfect Brownies.

I have been craving chocolate like crazy for the last few weeks, and my favourite way to eat chocolate is by eating brownies. Just thinking of the soft, gooey substance makes my mouth water. I have been looking for the perfect brownie recipe for a very, very long time, and now I’ve found it! So I’m here today, in my salmon coloured jumper, to share it with you! In this recipe we’ll use cacao powder instead of dark chocolate, since it gives the brownies a more intense flavour and an intense brownie is a wonderful brownie.

Be ready to see things that make you incredibly hungry, maybe even hangry, when you don’t have any chocolate near you.

Let’s get going with the recipe!

What you’ll need:

-4 large eggs
-200 grams of regular sugar
-100 grams of vanilla sugar
-140 grams of butter
-140 grams of flour
-75 grams of cacoa powder

-Square baking dish
-Baking paper
-Two bowls

Step one:
Pre heat your oven to 170ºC (338ºF) and put baking paper in your oven dish.

Step two:
Break the eggs in a bowl and mix them with a handmixer till they’re foamy, then add the regular sugar and vanilla sugar whilst still mixing. Keep mixing for another minute. Melt the butter in a microwave or in a pan (whichever way you prefer is alright), then add the molten butter and keep mixing till all the ingredients are fully combined and a smooth mixture remains.

Step three:
Sieve the cacao powder and flour over a bowl, so all the clumps get out. Add the cacao powder and flour to the mixture you made before and mix it all through till it has a smooth consistency.

Step four:
Bake your brownie in the oven for 25 minutes. When they’re done, let them cool down for a while and then cut them in little pieces so they’re ready to munch on.

And it’s that easy! Brownies are my all time favourite chocolate-y snacks and these are the best I’ve ever made! They’re so much better than the ones you can buy in the supermarket, so they’re definitely worth a try.
If you’d like to make them a little more special, you can also add fresh fruit, dried fruits, nuts or even more chocolate! Hmmmmm, I’m definitely doing that next time!

Have a lovely rest of the day and don’t care about anyone who tells you you’ve had enough chocolate-y goodness!

    1. That should work just as well, actually. I have never tried it myself, but I’m pretty sure that would be just as good (and maybe be even more delicious, since the brownies will taste like honey then, which should be scrumptious!).
